Well, I run 7 miles a day...so it has to be crunchy, fast and furious ( most of the time). Right now, it has been either Megadeth or Metallica. Yesterday, it was Rust In Peace and Peace Sells. Tonight, not sure.
when i was in high school wrestling, some of my motivation music was:
survivor - eye of the tiger
red rider - lunatic fringe
twisted sister - stay hungry and burn in hell
blue oyster cult - don't fear the reaper
metallica - fight fire with fire
megadeth - my last words
dio - hungry for heaven
I don't listen to shit in the morning before work - life sucks far too much at that time. Doing anything enjoyable would just feel like salt in the wound.
I like a lot of classic/thrash metal when working out though.
If I need to get "pumped up" I guess it would be some classic metal with any killer riff. Basically anything to get the headbanging, or now since I have short hair, the fist banging.
So..
Mercyful Fate - Evil
Venom - Welcome to Hell
Pestilence - Chemotherapy
Also, Ross is right with Tribulation. The Vampyre off the new album especially stands out! That intro before the song takes off is exactly the type of stuff I look for.
