Well, the good thing about an album every 3 years as opposed to 2 is that Mike will be less likely to suffer from writing burnout.
It was cool when they released an album every 2 years (they even had a couple of instances of releasing albums only a year apart), but they were younger then and had a lot to prove, and were pretty much not touring at all.
