What are some specific times when your favourite band or singer has done something and you've wondered, "Dude, what were you thinking, dawg?".

For me, it's on "Burning Japan" when Glenn Hughes is singing "Coast to Coast" and he does this weird bird squawking thing near the end. It's just embarrassing.

"Goo-goo-goo GAW GAW GAW GAAAH GAAAH GAAAAAAAAAAAH", he goes.

The Glorious Burden. Maybe acceptable to a lesser rate power metal band, but unacceptable for Iced Earth. It does have some good songs (Attilla, Red Baron, some of the trilogy) but overall it was a disappointment and it sounds more like a power metal band than a heavy metal one :(

Heretic by Morbid Angel, no good :(

Skid Row getting rid of Bach. I know, he is a dickhead, but they were the best band ever :(

*Sigh* What a depressing thread...

- Generation Swine.
- Belly To Belly Vol. 1
- Everytime Vince Neil sings Shout At The Devil live
- Harem Scarem's Live At The Gods 2002 DVD
- Guns N Roses at those music video awards a couple of years ago
- Photos of Jani Lane hahaha

When The Eagle Cries. I know what Jon was trying to do with that song, but he really didn't pull it off. It's horrid. The rest of the album I quite like, but that song, terrible.

The cover of Dance Of Death. The thing that gets me with that is, in the booklet, the band photos with the spirits or whatever they are floating around look kick arse, if they had have done the album cover like that it would have been awesome. Idiots. I know what they were getting at, trying to make the dancers look mannequin like, but it still looks shit and could have been done better. Idiots.

Phil Anselmo and Pantera in general. Cowboys From Hell is one fucking killer album, and whilst I do like some of their stuff since then, they really lost it. Seeing them live, they played a great show, but Phil just didn't shut the fuck up between songs, he was high as a kite and talking so much shit, and I hear he is even worse now with SJR, it is embarassing.

That'll do for now.

Phil Anselmo...

I just bought Cowboys from Hell and he could actually sing.

And back then I doubt he would've been egotistical enough to be Phil Anselmo.

Everything Megadeth has done since Youthanasia (including MD45, the new album, and the recorded/remastered/remix albums). Dave Mustaine is a fucking idiot.

(note; I really like Cryptic Writings :) ).

i agree with the dance of death cover. same goes for the blind guardian ANATO cover.
what else..

Sonata Arctica - Letter to Dana
can't thikn of anything else, but i'm sure there's more.

KISS from 1996 onwards

Iced Earth-The Glorious Burden :puke:

Aerosmith after 1989. Pump was great. Everything after that is overlong, overproduced crap.

Post-Black Album Metallica

Van Halen never releasing a live album with DLR (inconsistent coming from someone who prefers Sammy Hagar, but still...)

Queensryche after Promised Land

Anthrax splitting with Joey Belladonna and getting progressively worse with each album thereafter

Brian May and Roger Taylor whoring themselves around and tarnishing Queen's legacy

The Beatles releasing The White Album as a double disc instead of binning all the crap, then arguing amongst themselves so much that George Martin couldn't bear to be around for the making of Let It Be.

Oasis. Three words. Be Here Now.

Post Dio Rainbow- formulaic, radio friendly garbage.

Page/Plant's No Quarter Unledded album. Egyptian women screeching all over The Battle of Evermore? I think not!

The Who continuing on without Keith Moon or John Entwhistle. Why bother?

That's all I can think of for the moment, but I shall return...

I sense a disturbance in the force...

TGB is hardly great, but its nowhere near as bad as a vomiting smiley!

Nine Lives by Aerosmith rocks, have you heard that album?

Garage Inc. is also awesome!

Anthrax released one of the very best cds from last year, Weve Come For You All :worship: :worship:

To borrow one of your oft-used phrases Spawny, I wouldn't piss on TGB if it was on fire. I like it even less than the debut, and that's saying soomat.

Heard Nine Lives and no sir I don't like it. Too long and way overindulgent. If Aerosmith could still write and play like they did in the 70s, the world would be a much more rocking place.

Like the three songs I've heard from Garage Inc but not enough to want to hear the whole thing.

I've read nothing but praise for We've Come For You All, I just can't get into John Bush era Anthrax. Nothing against him because he's a great singer, yet the only 'Thrax lineup that ever did anything for me was Scott-Dan-Joey-Frank-Charlie.

I like 9 Lives. I like it alot. Hole in mY Shole, 9 Lives, Taste of India, Pink, Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees) plus some of the other slow ones that I am forgetting are all great. The booklet is cool too :)
