oh, and I'll just guess this thread is gonna be filled with these:

Europe earlier this year was:

01. Spooks In The Attic
02. Sacrifice
03. Tears Of A Mandrake
04. Nailed To The Wheel
05. Save Me
06. Lavatory Love Machine
07. The Piper Never Dies
08. Land Of The Miracle
09. Drum Solo
10. Superheroes
11. Holy Water
12. Mysteria
---
13. Avantasia
14. King Of Fools
---
15. Fucking With Fire
16. Vain Glory Opera

Mark, here's my guess...

lots of new crap from the abysmal Rocket Ride (including some song about Trinidad, ugh)
3 from Hellfire Club (probably "King of Fools", "Navigator", "We Don't Need a Hero")
2 from Mandrake (probably "All the Clowns" and "Tears of a Mandrake")
3 from Theater of Salvation (probably "Headless Game", "Land of the Miracle" and "Babylon")
2 from Vain Glory Opera ("Out of Control" and title track)
obligatory cover of Avantasia tune (probably title track)

Songs they won't play but would be awesome if they did:

Pharoah, Hymn, Wake up the King, Arrows Fly, Golden Dawn, Painting on the Wall

Based on speculation, and considering your guess is as good as mine, this post comes to you from the dept of redundant redundancy

As much as I used to enjoy their music about 5 years ago, I look at that setlist now and just cringe. There are maybe 2-3 good songs on it (Tears of a Mandrake, Avanatasia and Vain Glory Opera) and one of them isn't even Edguy.

Precursor to seeing Edguy:

COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF ALCOHOL

Ah, but is that to enjoy the show or numb the pain.

MYSTERY POST

I think the mandatory drinking beforehand has already ruled out any attempt to see Into Eternity.

Plus there are two bands with "Eternity" in their name on the bill and so we must preclude them from our attendance on basic principle.

I'll take it you're from the school that hated Hellfire Club? 'cause that album kicked all sorts of ass IMO, I like that setlist to be honest

I'd be thrilled to death with all of those. I'd sure love to hear Navigator though

Pretty much - it just bored the hell out me. Admittedly, my interest in Euro Power Metal is at an all time low, so the evolution of my taste has a lot to do with it as well.

If Hellfire Club, was released when, say, Vain Glory Opera was released, I probably would've gotten excited about it.

that's cool, I can't pretend I've been listening to a lot of it lately (read: at all), but I got all nostalgia excited for the show coming on Sunday, lol

is it just me ... or does Dead Lioness show up only when Gugs shows up ... coincidence? ... I don't think so :loco:
