Where to buy strings

Does anybody know if there is available 10-49 set of strings. I always have to buy D'addario 10-46 set and replace the e-string. Same thing with the 7-string but have to buy 64 with the 49 and the d'addario set. Would be nicer to just buy 1 set but why in the name of highscool football they are so unbalanced?

I usually take advantage of Musician's Friend sales and I usually order Ernie Ball Custom Gauge packs of single gauges to augment 6-string sets for my 7-string.

My buddy carries Curt Mangan strings in his store. If you order a box (10 packs) from them, they'll not only do the custom gauges that you want, they'll put your name on the label as a "signature" set.

Oh yeah, they're pretty good strings, too.

I once bought GHS Boomers 11-50 set for my standard-D tuned Jackson. It was quite ok, but THE FUCKIN' A-STRING WAS 036!! Just like on my normally tuned guitars, so in lower tuning it was flubby as hell. It was like this one string had been taken from a completely different set.. Shit, I was so pissed off then

I buy my strings from juststrings.com as well. They are in NH which is close to me, since I'm in Maine. They have a great selection, they are fast, and they have excellent customer service.

If I could make a suggestion on what not to buy, I would steer clear of the Webstrings light 7 set. They were cheap and recommended on another site and I swear to god they were dead by the time I finished tuning.

I always liked JustStrings and I'm still waiting for Elixir to make a 7 string set.
