wherein a week old mcd costs 70 ameridollars

yeah definitely. Now I want to see the movie.
Dude. Duuuuuuuude. The Wicker Man is a must own movie. Fucking incredible. I'm pretty sure there is a thread about it somewhere 'round these parts.

Also, I didn't realize some disliked Ashes Against the Grain. I found that album pretty god damn marvelous, though perhaps not as much as The Mantle, but I would say it is of Pale Folklore quality, which is to say, pretty durn high.

before I had any idea that there are crazy rich Agalloch fans who pay tons of money for their EPs; I only found that out years later. The last one on ebay went for $187.50. It's surely the most valuable CD I own, but I never would have guessed it. I still completely don't understand where this market comes from.

Wow! That's crazy!
Anyway, I would imagine this market comes from kids who live with their parents and have no other expenses.

why? are working americans really poor enough that they can't afford buying a 150 dollar CD if they want it?

Actually, yeah. Unless they put it on a credit card along with everything else they "own".
But, what I meant was, that, if you have expenses like a mortgage, groceries, gas, children, stuff like that, then, unless you're a total idiot, you don't spend $150 on a CD. But maybe some people do.

i dont know, personally i have the impression that people often spend hundreds of dollars on shit remarkably more retarded than a cd they really want. it's still ridiculous, but in the grand scheme of things, not really.

If a person can drop a thousand bucks on a GPS system, HD-TV, Blu-Ray player, and all that other nonsense, what makes a cd such a strange purchase? These people may be folk who rarely purchase cds, and are only collector minded towards the few bands they fellate every night before bed.

1cd = $150 bones
A haul of 10 cds = $150 bones

You're still spending $150 bones.

And Dorian, we all know you're struggles, no need to remind us like Papa Josh. :loco:

Rad.

Most I have ever spent on one CD is like $40 I think. However I did blow $200 on that Ulver vinyl boxset thingy, which fueled my debt when I was still in such a predicament. :loco:

Now I blow all my money on expensive pedals and more basses I don't need, although with cash* these days so I don't feel guilty. Remember when that main realtor douche said that paying off your mortgage was a poor financial decision? It was the head guy of the NAR, like 3 years ago. WTF @ USA.

*Discover Card, get the Boner Points which fuel my B7N gift certifishits, then pay it off like 3 days later

Are any of the bands on the companion sampler worth checking out, or should I just chuck this sheet?!

Klabautamann, Grayceon, and David Galas I know about. (They all rock my paps)

What about the remainder?! Too busy to spin in it. :err:
