I am wondering which band this year will provide the headbanging, non-stop kick ass music?? I know this is "Prog", but who's gonna step up to the plate this year like Tad Morose did last year?? I like my share of technical, time-changing, harmonious power ballads, but sometimes, I just gotta rip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know Strato can get after it, but who else?? Let me know what you think.

Manticora is going to thrash the place up like no one has done before.

Plus, when Conception's shotgun riffs hit from "Under a Mourning Star," I think you will see a crowd go apeshit.

Grab the newest one for a more polished sound. The further back you go, the more raw it gets (not that it's a bad thing mind you).

Btw, did you check out their mp3 in the audio section for "King of the Absurd?"

Or any of the heavy stuff off of "Parallel Minds" for that matter. Bring it on!

I can see Manticora defitely being a great live act and being a good crowd pleaser.

I have their last two albums, but (to me) most of their songs sound the same due to the drumming used in lots of the songs. It's pretty much that typical thrash drumming beat, which I've never really liked and it seems like they do it in abundance on those 2 albums.

So the albums probably get a 7/10 from me, but live I think the band will be awesome.

I do hope they do "2004 - Help Me Like No One Can". Will be awesome headbanger, and then a great singalong chorus.

I've been diggin' the ol' Symphorce lately, and I do believe Andy and his other boys will kick some ass! Manticora, eventhough I'm not too familiar with them yet, their music is bound to tear a hole into the place! Lets not overlook PC69. Eventhough they're not real heavy, they still throw a good punch! They'll rock us too!

I think Orphaned Land will have PLENTY of crunch-- especially when they do some of the 'older' material...

I think the same can be said of Therion and their older material. Although in both cases, the new stuff should kick ass live, too. (Therion's "Typhon," OL's "Halo Dies".....)

I think PC69 is going to be the energy boost of the weekend, not that we'll be low on energy, but I just think with their refreshing sound and time slot, they'll just take this shit to a new level before the big boys come up.

You have to figure that Andy B. Franck is coming back with a purpose...to kick us all in the head again...

Hope so anyway...

Rock on!

Stride is going to surprise you, I've seen them five times and they never fail to impress -don't miss 'em!!!

Being from Texas myself i have had the opportunity to see STRIDE a number of times, and be prepared they are going to dazzle and amaze everyone. Another band that is going to rock your world will be at the Pre-Party and that is OUTWORLD. You will be talking about them for months. I also think ORPHANED LAND is going to be the real sleeping giant. One of my friends from Israel, highly recommends them and says they will blow you away.
