which opeth track has the best climax?

I think you have the definition of Climax mistaken, or you would have made the obvious choice....

KARMA!!!!!

Damn, no other song of thiers comes close to building up to such an intense moment. And then the denoument......Epilogue.....aahhh......

I find these types of threads difficult to respnd to, but let's go with Karma and Blackwater Park, for now.

Moonlapse Vertigo - Goddamn, those brilliantly shaped sus2, 6 and minor chords rule. (I´m not trying to be Mozart)
Bleak - Astonishing rage!
The Funeral Portrait - What can I say
April Etheral - Cool groove
Face of Melinda - Coll layering

I had a good climax to The Drapery Falls - oh, ummmmmm......

You're talking about a musical climax - sorry, I'm bad. There are too many good songs (duh, heard that one before), but to date, I would go with The Funeral Portrait, just because all that fast paced growling with almost a surprise clean ending.

The end of In Mist Was Standing
Under The Weeping Moon has a great climax at 6:00 and on.
The Twilight Is My Robe a few times!

I believe what I’m trying to say is, Orchid has many climatic moments that I find extremely satisfying.

“ Open your soul. Redeem, I am immortal.”

Heh, you kind of ate my words. Anyway:

Moonlapse Vertigo (genius riff with genius singing melody with a genius part before it as well ;) )
The Funeral Portrait
April Ethereal

When
Demon of the Fall
The Face of Melinda

Most songs have a pretty satisfying climax.. too bad I haven't yet had sex to Opeth (give it a month, I'll get back to you on that one)..

Epilogue, guys. When that final riff comes in.. wow..
