WHISKEY

Some of the older Glenfiddichs always go down a treat.
I can never say no to anything Jura

Lagavulin is good, but if I had to name an all-time favourite: Auchentoshan. Amazing.

I am a fan of Islay Whisky as well here. Octomore, Lagavulin, Oban are high on my list. Just yesterday I had a Bruichladdich Rocks with my father and brother in law and it was pretty mild but really complex and tasty.

For mixing with coke (though the hangovers the day after are merciless) I like the usual JD or Canadian Club once in a while.

As for beer. If you like (like me) Pilsener Beer you have to try this:

You will not want to drink any other beer afterwards. World Class!

Picked up a bottle of Evan Williams Honey the other night. Not a huge whiskey fan, but figured a bottle was in order.

Though this stuff is way too sweet for my taste buds. :( Should have dished out the bucks and got a good bottle of Scotch......

i somehow ended up getting 2 bottles of flavored moonshine from 2 different people

apparently i'm redneck as fuck nowadays?

I am not that big into whiskys, but i do enjoy a glass every now and then. Right now im working on a bottle of Smokehead extra rare, kinda different but me likey. Beerwise probablys Munich's Augustiner, but i cant get that over here in Roo-land so Löwenbräu is my go to beer. Both German Lagers. I also like good vodka, Grey Goose and Chrystal Skull are 2 to mention.

Usually more of a beer guy, and most times if I'm getting into hard liquor it's either jager or the Kraken rum (dangerously smooth with coke btw, I had no idea it was 47% until a rep told me, though it did explain a lot). When I dip in to the Whiskey, I really enjoy Revelstoke, or good old Jack Daniels. Scotch wise I really like Glenfiddich, though the last time I was home I had a glass of Glenlivet 21 with my dad that was ridiculous.

I used to be a liquor rep. Got to try hundreds of shit for free over the years... not bad, lol.

Whiskeys/Bourbons: Crown Royal, Collinwood, Fighting Cock [seriously, go google that shit], Willet, Woodford Reserve, Russel's Reserve, Basil Hayden's, Bakers, Rowan Creek, Hudson Baby Bourbon or Manhattan Rye, Angel's Envy, and the fucking best shit ever George T Stagg. Go broke paying that shit...

Rum: Bacardi, Brugal, Cruzan [meh], Goslings Black Seal is my SHIT though.

Beer: too fucking many

Vodka: Tons again... generally mixed which is why it doesnt matter much. Generally though I prefer the more Russian and Slavic ones although I've had a few Scandinavians that did WORK, as well as plenty of fine Dutch ones...

Tequila: Herradura, Don Julio, Corazon, Corzo, Tres Generaciones

Gin: fuck gin.

Here are my current best rums (I'm still a beginner collector) with a small extra!

From left to right:
Plantation 2000 Barbados
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Barbados (best rum I've tasted up to now)
Brugal 1888 Ron Gran Reserva Familiar
Admiral Rodney Extra Old St-Lucia
Botran Reserva

And the last bottle is a sealed Calvados, Marquis de la Pomme Très Vieux 25 ans Réserve Personnelle (which basically means Extra old 25 years personal reserve) that I received from my grandfather. Retail price is around $250, so I have no fucking clue when I'll open this and for what occasion lol

Well, as I'm just having some of that golden Lagavulin 16 (new year/new bottle!) I thought I could drag this thread up a little.
My sister shown me some rum last week and it was sweet, sounds like Rob Marcello but not the guitarist. Could be Ron Barcello I dunno. Nothing to do with Captain Morgan tastewise

I bought some Jameson's Gold recently and I'll be god-damned if that wasn't the tastiest, smoothest, most satisfying irish whiskey I've ever tasted. Like drinking liquid silk. I'm hooked.
