I complained about this to Mark a few days ago. His reply:

Recent (and current) problems are due to server problems, which I am thinking is due to an influx of web bots (see how huge the thread view numbers are getting, for example) causing our logs to explode, and taking the server down with them when they're trying to be processed... Things should *hopefully* get better within the next day or so...

It works (VERY SLOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLLYYYY) for me for about 15 minutes, then it eventually goes to "Cannot find server".
