Who gets the last word in?

[brag]Well, I was on fire tonight. I scored 4 goals and one assist. The first goal was a breakaway where I just tapped it into the corner. The second was a highlight-reel goal where I bent the ball away from the keeper off the near post just under the crossbar (man, I wish a video camera was rolling for that one). The third goal was a fast break where I had one defender to beat, cut inside and left him in the dust then slid it past a charging goalie inside the far post. The fourth goal was another beauty, with a give and go to my winger, who sped down the wing and sent in a cross which I one-timed off the near post, pretty much in the only possible spot that a goalie or defender didn't have covered. The assist was off an indirect free kick, where I sent the ball in to one of our ladies who was wide open, allowing her to tap the ball into an open net. While I was on the field, we outscored our opponents 5-1.[/brag]

Unfortunately, when I was off the field, our team got outscored 8-1, and we lost the game 9-6. I usually only drink one beer during the game, and save most of the drinking for after. However, it was a hot day, and I felt the tank starting to run a little dry after my second goal, so I cracked a second beer, which I credit with propelling me to the third and fourth goals. Some of my teammates are hesitant to drink during the game, but I figure I'm walking proof that it works. We're 3 games in to the summer season, and I've scored 8 goals. Goals scored before cracking a beer: zero. Goals scored after cracking at least one beer: 8. Need any more proof about beer being a performance-enhancing substance?

I can't think of anything smartarse or funny to say about that^, so, onya, Tis Soccer :kickass::rock::rock:

:kickass:OH, thats just the SECOND BEER you had

I always score a goal or two for :Smokedev:MAN.UTD:Smokedev: when sitting in front of the tube, and with beer in hand

I should play more often....OR...drink more

Don't worry, I had two pitchers after the game

I lost a friend so dear to me on 24th... I found myself traveling 11 hours to say farewell to him... And 11 hours back the same day.. :( How many hours I've cried? I dunno... My oldest friend is gone now... Our parents have been friends since 1974... And we've (had) been friends since we were born.. Shit...

Yes.. I called some of my friends to say that, we havent been seeing eacother for sometime... We should see... etc... And life is.. unexpected... I wish I hadn't have to work this much.. I wish I could have the money, and time to do things I want.. Everytime I say.. Next time.. Next time I'll do it.. And one day.. There won't be a next time..

Thats right...necromancy never say goodbye, but use your experence of death as a reminder...A reminder too take the time to ring the ones you love, even if its just to say :wave:Hi.

Sorry for your loss, but to have friends like you do on the UM that can say a kind word...Hopefully that will lift your spirits enough for you to move on and to make that call/s

cheers:kickass: maiden1

In the end, none of us know what happens when we die. Maybe there is a big party in the sky and we'll all get to meet each other and drink really good beer while listening to wicked ass music. And perhaps Lemmy is God, just as we've always suspected.
