I'm a resident in psychiatry, so I do an overnight call shift in addition to my regular hours a few times a month. I hate it, but you get used to it, and if it quiets down for a while, I can usually nap for a couple of hours. It's nothing compared to surgery, where every fourth night I was doing a 36-hour shift in addition to the daily 12 hour shifts...and there's rarely a break to catch any sleep. I was a zombie after 8 weeks of that shit.nØthing said:WHA!?!? Where do you work that they give you 24 hour shifts?
I feel sorry for you.
