I just hate weird looking insects...ones that look like they shouldn't exist. It comes from growing up in Florida alot, I'm sure...nasty huge stick-like bugs and spiders as big as your fist. Nothing quite as nice as running between a couple trees and right through a massive web that is so strong it actually like..pulls back against your face...nasty

Does anyone know what a praying mantis (I think this is the right english name) is? Really strange looking insect .. (the females eat their males after the sex .. )

I have no problem with spiders(I crush them).

Yeah we have those here in the Southern US, but they're usually pretty hard to come across. Used to catch them in jars every once in a blue moon as a kid so I could stare at them - they look like aliens. And yes, the females eat their mates sometimes...kind of like humans, except that women tend to eat the guy's wallet instead of his head...don't know which one I prefer...
