Who gets the last word in?

Ah, well maybe things will get a bit busier soon. I imagine this place has been getting quiet at times.

School as well. I had Physics night classes in some city 100km from my town last semester so that took up all of my time. This semester shall be more slack though.

Ah well I'm sure you did fine. I get stressed regardless of the test and most of the time it's worrying all for nothing.

I know what you mean. You just can't help but worry. I try to stop worrying all of the time but it's easier said than done. Too bad that society holds tests on top of the list as something that gauges a person's intelligence, because really, marks don't mean a thing.

Same here. I always get nervous to the point where I make the dumbest mistakes on tests, mistakes that when you get the test back and look through it, you see exactly what you did wrong and you wonder why you wrote/chose the wrong one instead since the right answer was so obvious. Some people just happen to be very nervous test writers. I know for a fact if I wasn't like that I would have an appriximate 97 overall average, but well, because of those ridiculous mistakes my average is usually around 87.

I just can't believe how ignorant some people can be though. They truly believe that if a person gets a higher mark on a test, for example, that means that that person is automatically smarter. What they fail to see is that there are alot of people out there who spend hours day and night, every waking moment, studying, studying, studying, memorizing every single word of a textbook, regurgitate everything that the teacher/prof says. But does that make them intelligent?

Sorry, it just really gets to me sometimes.

No doubt. Sadly, most teachers actually encourage this type of ignorance. Throwing politics into the scenario doesn't help much either.

Haha, well I'm talking about politics within the school itself, not necessarily the national government. For example, parents intimidating the teachers because they want their child to have the top marks, and if their kid doesn't get the highest mark the parents threaten to go to the schoolboard and raise hell, so to avoid that some teachers actually fix the marks so a certain student gets the highest in the class even though that kid does not deserve it.
