Reminds me of what I was taught the other day in Swedish, the drinking culture. How you'd have to stare at the person across from you and drink at the same time, and as soon as you do that you lower the glass to the same place it was before then look at your "opponent" in the eye again. Apparently this was done because you wanted to keep your eye on someone because they might stab you in the back/kill you?
