Hello Fellows,

on the concert in April in Cologne, Germany &
the summer Open Air "Graspop" in Belgium
was before ANTHRAX start the set, a CD-Music out of the speaker.

Who know the Band ?
It sound was like a mix from Country / Psycow meets Metal ?

Greetinx & Thanx
from Germany

Hello dutchy,

are you shure ?
I know not much about Thin Lizzy,
but that was an other band.

They make cover-version in this style. One Song, i don´t know, was "Fire water burn" from the Bloodhound Gang.

Thanx till Holland ;o)

Hello,

i have new information about the cover songs:

Banjo-Songs from Enter Sandman & Beasty Boys was played, too.
before the anthrax set starts.

Greetz

Now i need the name of the band ??? :yell:

Ok. Dutchy,
i try to get the information directly from "ANTHRAX" on the band-homepage.
Maybee someone give us an reply.

Greetinx

PS: Do you now the band "NON:DIVINE" from Arnheim in NL ?
They was the support this year from Anthrax in NL in one town.
We played with them in Germany, this year.

Great story with the Anthrax "Bring the noise" Jam. :hotjump:

Thanx till the next message

Seen 2 supports in Hardenberg After All and maybe Non Divine, I wasn't really impressed, maybe because I/m not really into metal anymore, the only bands I still follow are the Mighty Trax. Death Angel and I'm lookin forward for the new Exodus. Got a big stack of oldschool thrash/metal up till 1991 . after the ........and Justice for all album I got pretty bored with metal. After seeing NOFX and Sick of it All on Lowlandsfestival I developed a taste for punkmusic, songs with great melodies and cd's clocking at 45 minutes max , e.g borring songs that never seem to end and cd's over 60 minutes.

If you wanne check out a really cool Dutch band try TRAVOLTAS, they sound like Beachboy fuckin Ramones it's SWEET!!!!!!!!

and where is Erkelenz??never heard of it!!

Yes, you right. In Colgne, Germany it was "After ALL", too - and it could after all better - u know )
I found they very boring. Not my taste.

Erkelenz is not far from the borderline to Netherland
the biggest City is Mönchengladbach - than Köln (Cologne).

Punk is not really my favorite music stile.
More Crossover with Slapping Bass like (Mordred,Primus usw.)

BIG MORDRED FAN OVERHERE!!!!!!!!!!!
"make youre own way in this life.............."
only good thing with After All was the Metallica cover!!
still no news on the opening cd???

Wolves was definitely their best. Life Won't Wait has some pretty good cuts, but I find it kinda boring at times. Guess I'm gonna pick this one too.

I never got into that album. Yeah-lack of memorable songs. Let's go and Wolves are my faves. And the first one too.

Hello dutchy,

No information from the webslave from the anthrax page :erk:
but i found the information about the songs in the web :hotjump: .

The songs is a compilation. That calls: V.A. - Frosh

Here a snipple report from this album Volume 2:

Fire, Water, Burn (The Roof is on Fire)" by the Bloodhound Gang shows up and this song always gets me going if only because I get to sing "Burn motherfucker, BURN." "Jump Around" by House of Pain and "Fire in the Kitchen" by Ashley MacIsaac aren't bad selections either. Of course, you have your classics on here, including "Centerfold" by the J. Geils Band, "Bizarre Love Triangle" by New Order, "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles, and the ever so popular "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones.

Playlist - Best of Frosh - CD:

HOME FOR A REST - SPIRIT OF THE WEST
I'M GONNA BE 500 MILES - THE PROCLAIMERS
MONY MONY - BILLY IDOL
GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN - CYNDI LAUPER
GREASE MEGAMIX - JOHN TRAVOLTA/OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN
THE TIME WARP - THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
GROOVE IS IN THE HEART - DEEE-LITE
BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE - NEW ORDER
COME ON EILEEN - DEXY'S MIDNIGHT RUNNERS
VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR - BUGGLES
DANCING QUEEN - ABBA
Y.M.C.A. - VILLAGE PEOPLE
LAID - JAMES
BLISTER IN THE SUN - VIOLENT FEMMES
CROCODILE ROCK - ELTON JOHN
