who the hell is Hypocrisy?

go to the BB board, they have one here.
anyway they're a 3 piece band, and they released a box set - 10 years of chaos and confusion, and a new album last year i think. so they're pretty old. i got the box set, thats it, Dan Swano being involved in everything as he is, does the mastering on the bonus cd i think it is.
hmn, how can i describe them, um heavy, same sort of thing as bands like 'At the gates', and stuff...

wheres Tulsa? and yeah you might as well, they're nothing like opeth, but its always nice to go to a gig, and sometimes you get lucky and find a really good band (cough cough like kiss the blade, who i'd never heard of before seeing them as a support band, and their album was in my top 5 of last year

I hope Hypocrisy doesn't play much from Catch 22 and instead plays more from the S/T and Abducted. As for the best Hypocrisy album, I would have to go with the S/T, it's really great. As for any similarities to Opeth, there really aren't many, aside from occasional clean vocals (almost always processed or multitracked) and occasional melodies (though Hypocrisy is, in general, much more aggressive than Opeth).

Hypocrisy are great! As are killswitch engage, I heard their stuff and it was very very cool. Get abducted, The Final Chapter and Hypocrisy (self titled album).
who the hell is hypocrisy??? fucking hell get you must not get around that much if you want to know who is hypocrisy buy the abducted or fourth dimention.

Yes! you must go see them, they put on a good show!
I saw them play at the cactus club over in San Jose with soilwork and several other bands and they both performed real well.

i don't know about hypocrisy but i hear they're melodeath like at the gates

Did you attend the show or not? I was there -- that's a rawking lil venue you guys got going on there. Hopefully, now that they're agreeable to booking this kind of music you'll see lots more bands coming your way!!
