Why dont we design the cover?

Just an initial idea I have floating in my head. The masks the band always use in their artwork are a great symbol for duality, or opposing forces (as in V). That for every positive there's a negative, light and dark, etc. This would work perfectly for the concept of Paradise Lost, so something visually representative, using the mask concept, of opposing forces could look cool. A scene depicting the enormous chasm separating paradise from dark abyss. Man, one could go on and on with ideas for this CD! Well, my two cents.

Kinda like Yin and Yang too I would say...

I wouldn't use the masks anymore. Time to move on IMO. Also, I wouldn't use computer graphics for the cover design as it inevitably looks dated much too soon.
I think the V one looks incredibly dated, but this new potential one uses computer graphics really well. As for dropping the masks, well that's just silly - they're hardly intrusive and are just a little reference for those who care.

I really hope this one or a variation on it becomes the final cover unless jdub can produce a crayon masterpiece that bests it.

me first

Dude, that's like telling Iron Maiden not to use Eddie.

Us designing the cover would be a big mistake, just for the fact that the cover must fit the music. If we haven't heard the music, how can we know what cover to create?
