Me and my friend wanna cover a song but there isn't a drummer within 1000 miles who could play this proficiently so were gonna use this midi to fire off samples but for some reason reaper is really screwing up at a lot of the tempo changes. It sounds fine when played through windows media player though.

You have the option of merging the tempo map when you import it. I guess i could manually add the tempo markers and leave that option unchecked but I would like to know if there's a fix for this. I've also tried leaving all snapping options off before importing too. if anyone can help Id def appreciate it!

You might want to check the Reaper forums on this one.

I've had problems with Reaper not reading tempo maps too, I've just set the tempo in Reaper to the initial tempo, then dropped in markers when needed. I do very little work with MIDI so I'm sure there's a better way :)

yeah its pretty frustrating considering its something that FL studio FOUR did beautifully
