windows 98 help please :(

How do you connect to a Macintosh IP address from windows 98?

i've done a quadra and a win2000.

i currently use vpc with XP and os 9 and X, and:

i think it's a matter of turning filesharing on via the mac, dude.

is this X? i think even with 9 it's all automatic.

It's an OS 9 IP running AppleShare IP. Some of the drives on it have shortcuts created to them on the Windows machine already, and connecting is possible. I installed a new drive on the Mac, and it's being shared via Appleshare IP. However, I need to create a new shortcut, or share point, to it on the Windows machine, but I can't figure out how to do that and I can't even find any info about it online.

But obviously it has been done before on this very machine, so it's possible.

A clue maybe: All the other shortcuts to the mac drives - their paths show up as new drives- their paths are F:, G:, and so on. Do I just need to create a "new drive" on the Windows' desktop? How do I do that?

windows explorer -> tools -> map network drive perhaps?

or maybe try \\computername\c$ or something?
