This is their second LP and these norwegians are currently working for the third one. Astounding arrangements in the way of Arcturus, very amazing neoclassical guitar solos (Tidemann really kick ass when it comes to six strings) and a string quartet giving more identity and environment to what WINDS means. I don't know whether WINDS really plays black metal, but I honestly don't care; they break the boundaries of extreme music bringing it down to another dimension.
I think The Imaginary Direction Of Time is an album to be played alone; not for take it for a hang out. The music surrounds you with melancholy, melody, tranquility and a lot of more subconscious and majestic states. Dragging you down to a state of stillness never usual in extreme music.
Songs I suggest are: What Is Beauty, Theory Of Relativity, The Fireworks Of Genesis, and A Moment For Reflection.
