So my band played its first show on the 8th and all has been well. The moments leading up to it seemed grim, from gear working correctly and having the venue continue to slaughter our name, which isn't even hard to spell. We thought it would be a disaster though, if not us, the tech deathcore bands that we where playing with, expecting them to come out on stage with crabcore moves and shitty crate combos, but that wasn't the case, all cool dudes professional gear and loved the shit out of our music. It was funny as well because no one could believe it was our first show, they were all saying it sounds like we have been playing shows for years.
Lame quality, but very cool none the less:

Anyway, all of our fears about getting out into the local scene dwindled and it just felt good. Good crowd reaction considering the area is full of Whitechapel and Death wannabes and we are playing melodic orchestral metal. The bands where full of cool dudes, we hung around the corner of the venue slamming beers, smoking and swearing like a sailor while at a "Christian" place where no swearing, drinking and smoking was allowed...dam christans and we didn't give a fuck, we where having a hell of a time.
Before and after the show there was a noticeable spike in fans, fan reactions and general traffic in our sector (FB pages, Myspace, Google searches, reverbnation etc), and just before that we had submitted to a local blog a song that was going to be on a compilation demo. I woke up this morning to find a message on my Facebook by one of the blog writers to tell me that the compilation got bumped up and had its own article in Metal Sucks. One of the tracks is Keith Merrow and features Jeff Loomis. The track posted has been for the most part unreleased, so you guys will have to get your hands on the compilation to get a listen to it

All this happened almost overnight, its not like we haven't been busting our asses for it, but we didn't expect it all the happen at one time and to get such a positive reaction. Our next aim is to find a bassist and continue to play shows, and hopefully find a vocalist which leads me to a request from you guys.
I know its been offered to us a few times from Sneapsters but I want to make it official that I am asking. Since we have not been able to find a vocalist, if anyone on these forums wish to tryout as a guest vocalist for the album then please hit us up on the Facebook, Myspace, in the Ultimate Metal mail...wherever. We are looking for aggressive but clean, along the lines of Nevermore, Evergrey, Mercenary, Trivium and other similar bands.
Sorry for the long rant and shameless self promotion, but I have just been way to damn excited for the way things have turned out lately and wanted to share with you guys and see if we can make a few more fans here. The main moderated page is in the link below.
