Is anyone familiar with winters in Kansas? I will be conducting site visits at multiple locations in the state, and it would be best if I could get them done before there is consistent snow cover.

I lived near Wichita years ago. With all the wind, whenever it snows, expect big snow drifts. Like 3-12 feet in some places depending on the amount of snowfall. So unless your site visits are in an extremely open area, expect some deep snow. Usually the bigger snows are Jan.-Mar.
I have lived here since 87 and the winters arent nearly as bad as they used to be. When it snows it usually snows alot or just a little. And it is totally random as to when it can start, it has started snowing as early as Oct and as late beginning of April. Standardly though it is late Nov to Mid Feb.
