Remember the massive fundraiser a few years ago that Jari & Wintersun had to raise money for a studio and sauna? Any news about it?

Personally I like Wintersun & find Jari an interesting and talented character. You wonder if there will ever be a studio completed, and a release of Time II at this point would be anticlimactic. Still if you know of anything in this regard I'd love to read it, but I'd settle for some interesting tales of Jari if that is all you have.

Wintersun will be releasing the long awaited Time II album on August 30 of this year.
Yes, you read that right, so apparently Jari still needs a sauna.
But apparently this time its for real, accompanying with the Jari's usual sales pitch which, depending on your perspective, may or may not be a bad thing.

I gotta be honest, I don't recall ever listening to "Time I" until today, and it's pretty freaking good except for the growlie vocals.

Growlies in general. I just don't get it. If it's not constant, like mixed with clean vocals then I can somewhat tolerate it. I understand the aggressiveness of a harsh vocal, but it would take some really excellent music to offset it for me.

Growls are an acquired taste, but not for everyone. It would be great if Glenn could get Wintersun to play at PPUSA, but time is running out. Glenn once told me the door is open for Jari, but Jari being Jari.. Well you understand.

Really looking forward to Time II. We've waited this long, so a little more - erm time - won't matter so much, I suppose.
