Sadly, I didn't start listening to Woods of Ypres until a year ago and found out half a year ago that David Gold was dead before I even started listening.
I've struggled with severe depression for over six years and came close to death twice. When I found out David was gone and that I'd never be able to listen to them live, I started focusing on the lyrics of each song and David's work has had such a huge impact on me. His work is brilliant.
I just wish I could tell him his music helped me get out of a very deep hole in the shittiest time of my life. His music really got me through it all.
