WOTW

sucked, Tom Cruise is a horrible actor in this movie, I walked out one hour into it and came home and listened to the Orson Welle's original radio broadcast version man ........technology has been defeated....the original radio broadcast kills....period

I didn't think it was that bad. Batman was better, but seeing WOTW at the Chinese theatre was pretty cool. I didn't like the ending much, but the movie still way blows away some of the cheesy movies you've suggested in the past...... Queen of the Damned, The Majestic (ewww, i guess if i was a boy maybe i would have cried like my friend did when we saw it together), but you were right about the Jena movie. :p

^ I thought Aaliya was pretty neat in that movie... she had some fake egypthian accent (her acting teacher didn't do a good job)
but the way she looked was kinda neat.
in general though... I give this movie a 5.
You can do with, and you can do without...

but I'm so sad to hear that WOTW sucks :/
I had too many expectations...

WHAT CAN I SAY , ITS A FILM FOR SUCKERS....
SAME WITH BATMAN

look out for sincity

I have to agree 100%.
My girlfriend loves that clown, but to me he has no depth as an actor.
Now Sean Connery would have been perfect for that role...I know you may say he's too old, but if he played a black woman in a movie I would pay to see it. Sean Connery is GOD!!! I know it's so... :worship:

i think that tom cruise did well in the movie... and i think he's a pretty good actor. I don't care what you guys all say... he's pretty good for a general hollywood actor. There are much better ones out there, but he's not as bad as all of you are describing.

Definitely waiting for video on this then. The only person I personally know that liked it was the same person who said Batman Begins was the worst movie ever.

Yes, it sucked overall...half the time me and my friends were laughing (we got a couple in front of us to move lol). The only good moments in the movie were the ones i found funny, like the raining clothes and the bodies floating down the stream. Also when Tom Cruise goes into the house all covered with dust and the girl asks what he's covered with I was waiting for him to say "people". Oh and the Tang that pours out from the ship at the end was funny too.

I strongly disagree as I enjoyed the film quite a bit. Its just a movie for our enjoyment and entertainment. I liked it and I actually like Tom Cruise yes hes a fucking fruitcake but who cares what the man does on his own time is none of my business. Anyone picking at the This is not logical or feesable crap is diving to deep into a picture based on a book from a hundred and seven years ago.

eh?
Why was this exactly funny? I heard some people in our theatre laughing there asses off at these parts, and I was somewhat disturbed.

....Ok..the tang part was funny *BLOOORT*

The reason so many people are picking on this film, besides it's lack of logic is the fact that YES this movie was based on the book from a 100 years ago.
That is the main point right there, the book has been around for 100 years, heralded as a masterpiece since then.
If it has worked for 100 years why feel the need to change it?
Why does hollywood feel the need to mess with something that is damn near perfect? And mess with it for the worse, not better.
About the only thing I would possibly have done were I do direct this movie is set it in modern day. POSSIBLY. And that is only if the suits bitched enough at me. Other than that I would have just shot the movie page for page and it would have been just fine.

problem is, hollywood won't do page for page because it would be a 10 hour movie. Take Wheel of Time for example... if they were to try and do a movie for it, it'd be damn near impossible, because everything is so important. If they were to try and do the first book, it'd be a 15 hour movie.
