I got a package from my boy who works for Sony/BMG & in it was the new System of a Downer, which I will sell as used at my buds store, but what was a pleasant surprise was the Mudvayne record. Yeah, I know. I didn't like their other stuff either, but this is a good contemporary metal record, it's a far from a classic, but better than what they are know for... Anyone heard this record?

I listen to about 1-2 hours of rock radio a week and happened to catch a new song by them. I was shocked frankly. A friend of mine made me a CD of their earlier stuff and with the exception of the bassist being a really bad-ass player, I thought it sucked. The song I heard on the radio was quite good.

Yeah Swine I was trying to tell you about that cd earlier. I got it at a metal listening
party at a local pub. Yeah it's definatley better than LD 50. One of the few nu-metal
albums that's actually listenable besides Slipknot (with the exception of that awful
Vol. 3 cd!) and Cold.

Bryant is right on. The bass player was the only thing that kicked about the band. And you're right too! This stomps their other material. As far as Nu-Metal, there's one band of the genre that owns if you ask me & that's Disturbed...
They are doing something that really turns me on...

Well Disturbed is sounding more metal in their material I'll give them one
more album and we'll see.
