x2n vs d activator x

I am going to get a new pickup for my guitar and I can't decide on which of these I want to buy. I am a huge death fan and I am well aware that chuck used x2n's in is guitar, but I am hearing very good things about the d activator x's and would like to know if anyone else has any opinions on these two in comparison.

What kind of guitar will you be putting these pickups in?

Now keep in mind the X2N is HOT AS FUCKING BEJESUSY HELL. If you never play on a clean setting (and I mean NEVER), go for it. Think of the D Activator X as essentially a cleaner, more open sounding sounding X2N. If you play clean at all, go with the X.

I pretty much never play clean and if I do I always use my neck pickup anyway.
