but Watershed is amazing!

It was hard concentrating on driving while listening to that album.
I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable!
Does anyone else agree???

ohhoho!

Maybe I'm having post-listening/new CD fangirl shock?
:p

I think it's very different, and that's attractive to me, but I might change my mind after a week or two of listening.

We'll see

the guitarist in my band played me 2 tracks from the cd when we were driving to walgreens and honestly to me it sounded horrible. i've never really liked opeth but this was album unbearable. more Bloodbath plz.

I think Burden was the song I liked the most, after about half a dozen listens of the album. Then again I think that Opeth should drop the metal now and just go total Damnation style- I think they do that much better than the half baked melo-death-progressive style of recent.

I remember when everyone was saying that there wouldn't be that much of a difference with Axe on drums, but goddamn I miss Lopez. It's a style thing I think more than anything. Axe is a great death metal drummer, but I don't know how well his styles fit with Opeth.

Damnation was the last awesome thing they did so I'm tempted to agree.

Melo death is not melodic death by the way.

Great album, but still think The Fall of Every Season is owning everything right now.

It's like Michael joined Anathema in 1996.

I need to listen to Watershed more.

I never said anything about melodeth and melodic death being the same thing...

did I?
