Any other YES fans here? Someone already started a Genesis thread
and a Pink Floyd thread here so I'll start one on
YES.

I saw YES live last November. Had 2nd row seats, was right in front
of Chris Squire! :) Absolutely amazing show, they played for
nearly three hours! I'ts hard to believe those guys are in their 50's
and they still perform amazingly tight, extended shows like they do. Jon Anderson can still hit the high notes like he did 30 years ago,
Steve Howe's guitar playing is intricately flawless, Rick Wakeman's
keyboard solo was awesome, as were Chris and Alan, too.

YES is a group that truly deserves to be inducted into the R & R
hall of fame.

Never liked them. They seemed to be Progressive Rock for the popular crowd who usually dont get that type of music.
That might be true, but this may also be one of the reasons why I like their music. I think a lot of that progressive, psychedelic and acid rock many times went to far into experimenting and all that stuff instead of just writing good melodies. Yes could write good melodies and still be progressive and a bit crazy. Some of their stuff can also be a little too crazy for me though, but all in all I think they've made some good stuff and "Fragile" is the best album I have out of the 6 I have by them (if you don't count "Yesterdays" as it's in the pile that needs to be heard)! A great record!
