the mollusk is good. i haven't heard much of quebec, so i was fishing for reviews.

I liked quebec a lot after a few spins (though I've enjoyed all of Ween's output so I guess that don't mean much). I was sort of taken aback at first by the lengthy sorta really mellow 70s parts in the middle of the album though. It starts off with a rocker and then progressively cools off. I tend to forget what I'm listening to after a while, only to get sucked back in by their moments of "genius". Definitely some great tunes, with some throwaways if you're at all picky about your music.
Another thing that hit me about quebec was the variety. It's definitely one of their most diverse. You get some classic stooooopid weeners and other real serious, life-altering see-the-light tunes. Which I dig.
