Pharaoh - The Longest Night. Features Tim Aymar. Obvious Iron Maiden tendencies, but done well. Give this album some attention, it deserves it.

Fool. This is traditional metal written by and played by people that listen to all sorts of heavy metal. It is not genre metal by people who only listen to genre metal.

But to have it and not listen to it?

I have their debut. It's good, but it doesn't have enough hooks for my liking. You know, it falls into that whole: "Jag Panzer'ish, close but no cigar, every song begins to sound the same" type territory.

I'll listen to the new one though for sure. There's no doubting Aymar's a great vocalist.

I've not heard the debut, but from the two mp3s on their site, this new one is a leap up from that.
