Dream band eh?

Myself on 12 string guitar and bouzouki
Derick Vollmer on Mandolin
Max Fucking Johnson on extra acoustics and mountain duclimer
Acie O'Kelly on Moog and psilocybe distribution (Max Fucking Johnson can assist in this regard also)
Cara Taylor on tambourine and elf suit dancing
David Swayne on crowd heckling

everyone in the band can do extra miscellaneous drumming, if necessary

EDIT: and derek on various traditional scottish instruments and official band kilt tailor.

1, Your use of my last name shocked me.
2. Best job ever.

RedKaf, what part of Maryland... or college?

My band:

Loomis - lead guitar
Matt Barlow - vocals
Jon Schaffer - rhythm guitar
Mike Portnoy - drums
Steve Unger - bass

Steve Unger?! Haha, holy shit, that is obscure. He is a damn good bass player and a really nice guy. About 2 hours before doors opened here in MN for the Metal Church show 2 weeks ago, we got the call that Metal Church's trailer hitch on the bus had broken, so myself and a friend (we work for the promoter) had to go pick up the trailer in a truck and have the tour bus follow us the 60 miles to the venue. They were using Steve's personal trailer to haul their gear in, so Steve wanted to drive our truck. So we rode in the cab with him as he drove the truck back to the venue. That was one of the best metal memories I have.

Truthfully, they're all awesome guys as Karen and Division Mike can tell you. I just saw them Monday night and fell in love with Ronny and Steve. While I don't really listen to the bassline too often to judge difficulty, in my eyes he's quite skillful and just a plain fun to watch on stage.

Im with you on the Ripper, even though I thought he sounded good on The Glorious Burden, for the most part.

Range wise, I'd give it to Warrel. But those two are unique enough to me that I can't properly compare them.

But I agree about Owens. His redeeming grace was Gettysburg 1863 for me. Either that, I'm still in denial that Barlow left.

Hell yea, they are all really nice guys, we went through hell and high water that night getting them there on time and getting meliah rage on stage, what sucked was their singer's dad had died so he wasn't in town to sing, so they had to do an instrumental set, but them Metal Church went on and killed everything. They were amazing. We then got to take them out to dinner here at this little place called Mickey's Diner, which is evidently world famous. They are one of my favorite bands, so truly an awesome experience.

Hot.

Vox - Warren Zevon/Elliott Smith
Guitar - As Above
Bass - John Paul Jones
Drums - Gene Hoglan

Together they'd sound terrible, though. Jazzy-rock indy acoustic metal.

NEVERMORE is my dream band and has been since the self titled album. But for shits and giggles, here goes: (any combination of))

Vocals: Sebastian Bach, David Lee Roth, Geoff Tate, Freddie Mercury, Dio, Halford, Barlow.
Bass: Steve DiGiorgio, Steve Harris, Les Claypool, Cliff Burton, Geezer Butler.
Rhythm Guitar: Scott Iann, Paul Stanley, Jon Schaffer, James Hetfield, etc...
Lead Guitar: Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P.), Zakk Wylde, Ace Frehley, Alex Skonlick, John Petrucci, Dimebag Darrell (R.I.P.) Randy Rhoads (R.I.P.), Dennis D'mour (R.I.P.), Criss Oliva (R.I.P).
Drums: Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Chris Adler, Dave Lombardo, Gene Hoglan, Vinnie Paul

Vocals: Matt Heafy
Guitar: Jon Schaffer
Drums: Lars Ulrich
Bass: Jason Newstead

Unfortunately, my dream band will be taken hostage during a tour of the middle east. Negotiations for their release will fail when it is decided the best course of action is to just "let 'em keep the bastards". They will never be heard from again.

Dan Swanö -keyboards

Kevin - Bass
