Your Favorite Splits

[Base Delta Zero]

I like splits - actually I love splits! Some of my favorite bands were introduced to me through a split LP, EP, etc. It's easy to just play 'connect the dots' through split albums and hear a ton of awesome bands - especially if you're a fan of crust or powerviolence as they're almost entirely made up of splits.

Some of my favorite splits:
Stormcrow/Sanctum (first time I ever heard Sanctum)
Disclose/Hakuchi
Dystopia/Skaven
Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Apartment 13 (actually ANB has a ton of great splits with band like Halo, Gob, Laceration that kick ass!)
Man is the Bastard/Capitalist Casualties (MitB also has a ton of great splits)
Crebain/Leviathan (first time I heard Leviathan)

My favourite split would have to be March to the Black Holocaust - Vlad Tepes and Belketre.

Its pretty epic. The Endless Blizzard part is a full length album so its basically an album with bonus tracks from another band.

I didn't know Agalloch did a split. Is Nest any good?

From the song on that particular split they sound pretty decent. However they use this very pan-flutey synth in it, and it's a little awkward imo. The rest of the song has a very folk-forest feel but the synth takes you from deciduous to a jungle ><. However it works, and I've been meaning to check out more by nest
