I've never heard Defiance (not the east coast hardcore band, but the bay- area thrash). Is it any good?

Vio-lence, Kreator, Dark Angel, Destruction, Dew Scented, Exhorder, Hypnosia, King's Evil, Paradox, Sabbat... I'm drawing a blank.

If I had to choose one though... it would be Kreator.

By the way, most people don't consider any Sepultura to be thrash, but I agree it's borderline. They destroy bands like Obituary on the heavy and aggressive ends, so are we talking lyrically?

Fav thrash bands... Testament and Children of Bodom. CoB have never really been that thrash-y but Hate Crew Deathroll (their latest album) sure is. More like "progressive thrash".
