Your idea for a new band?

Guitar: Ron Jarzombek (Spastic Ink, Watchtower)
Bass: Sean Malone (Cynic)
Bass: Lars Norberg (Spiral Architect)
Drums: Mark Zonder (Fates Warning)
Violin: Vivaldi (ermm...)
Vocals: King's College Choir
Sound Effects: Chuck Norris

The band would be called Mindfuck and they would play classically infused Tech-Prog/Death. They would be the only band to feature bass harmonies, and they would be played in 64th notes atonally in 21/16 time while a choir is murdered in the background, Vivaldi plays harmonic minor scales playing the in the same rythym as the bass, but in triplets, Zonder would play with 7 drumsticks (two in each hand, one in each foot and one in his mouth) and would play a with all of them in 7/8 time, but with each drumstick in a different note ratio, so one drumstick would play at a 1:1 ratio, one on a 2:1 and so on and Jarzombek would shred at 500bpm using his eyelashes and playing three different diminished patterns at the same time. Chuck Norris would then come in and the world would explode because that amount of awesome can not exist in one place.

Vocals: Mike Sanders (Toxik)
Lead Guitars: John Petrucci (Dream Theater)
Rhythm Guitars: Lee Altus (Heathen)
Bass: David Eliefson (Megadeth)
Drums: Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel)

They would play tech thrash with crazy high-pitched vocals and noodly guitar solos, and it would be awesome.

It's impossible to imagine Vikernes and Cobain having any kind of meaningful interaction whatsoever.

Tee-hee, maybe for you... but I'm listening to Filosofem right now and I can imagine exactly what Kurt's parts would be.

Kurt's a big fan of Celtic Frost. And he does a lot of very weird, messed up vocals, the harshest of any of the popular grunge bands.

:Smokin: Range, maaaan...

Celtic Frost fan? I thought that was David Grohl, who's been painting himself as a metalhead in his post-Nirvana career. Also, Varg Vikernes isn't just a metalhead, he is something that Kurt Cobain or any other mainstream musician would even be able to imagine, let alone perform with. I am sure Varg Vikernes hates people like Cobain as much as Cobain hated "heavy metal kids".

And Kurt Cobain is dead, anyway...

It's one thing to diversify and broaden one's horizons, it's another to join forces with the most extreme exponent (be it grunge rock or black metal) or what you despise (mainstream rock or heavy metal, respectively).

Yes, but we're making huge assumptions about people who we don't really know. Kurt liked bands like Slayer and of course Black Sabbath, in addition to Celtic Frost, and Kurt might not like Varg's beliefs but Kurt certainly craved diversifying his music, it wouldn't be more against his so-called cause than Bob Dylan going electric, and Kurt was just like Bob Dylan in the fact that neither of them wanted to be called their generation's voice. Varg is an enigmatic man and I wouldn't roll out pretty much anything coming from him.

Besides, I just have an over active imagination. I don't care about their personal lives, I'm talking musically, and I can imagine it.

Another idea I have is for a band called Fisted Sister, strictly brutal hardcore porn based psuedo metal in the vein of Twisted Sister. Live Fistings and DP's and really soft metal, sounds like a good combonation to me.

Of course I have yet to write songs and gather musicians for either of these bands, but that will all fall into place, I swear it.
If you do the music, Dazie and I can do the live stuff.

Kurt Cobain was a crappy vocalist, and his vocals aren't harsh, even when he was yelling like a moron.

Meh, did you listen to the tracks? Just because he didn't do it before doesn't me he couldn't have done it.

He could do a good job as the clean vocalist for the group alongside Varg doing harsh. :)

I've heard every single Nirvana song ever. Kurt Cobain had a really thin and weak singing voice, and his screaming wasn't harsh or powerful at all.

Does this include dead musicians?

Vocals: Ben Falgoust II (Goatwhore)
Guitars, Vocals: Jon Nödtveidt (Dissection)
Guitars: Tomy Laisto (Mors Principium Est)
Bass: Noah Martin (Arsis)
Keys: Turo Marttila (Ex-Soulfallen)
Drums: Zbigniew Robert "Inferno" Prominski (Behemoth)
