When I first joined the band, one of the things that impressed me the most about them (besides the fact that they are bada** musicians :worship: as well as luverly people :D ) was their "never say die" attitude. We share that common ground and this quote from Winston Churchill's famous speech just summed it up for me! :headbang:

That is a lovely story!!! I just thought it was a nod to Aces High from Live After Death but now I know!!

if you don't know already, mine's from a hilarious skit from saturday night live. it's a parody of vh1's "behind the music" with blue oyster cult. guest host christopher walken plays legendary producer, bruce dickinson (the lesser bruce dickinson, in my opinion LOL). they're recording "don't fear (the reaper)" and will farrell is playing the cowbell in the intro. he eventually cracks the rest of the cast up in the skit. a must see!

I was just curious as to what everyone's signatures meant, and why you chose them.

Mine is lyrics from my three favourite songs of all time - Metallica's Fade To Black, Iron Maiden's Infinite Dreams and Megadeth's In My Darkest Hour.

The first part is The Roadies Law
I got it from one of the roadies for either Van Halen's 5150 tour or (believe it or not) one on Stevie Wonder's "In Square Circle" tour when they came through Pullman. I worked as a local ramp rat at the Beasley PAC. It worked pretty well for me for many years. :headbang:

The second part is due to the mysterious disappearance of my Sharpie at innumerable shows. I have become fiercely possessive of them over the years. :hotjump:

For some reason I was pondering this subject last night. Anyone who has been on this board for a while might have noticed that my sig and my title changes often. I even changed my name once. Sometimes I do it out of boredom, sometimes I see a really cool or funny bit that I like, and sometimes it may be something that pops into my head. I was thinking about how far into life, or as the case may be, death this could be caried. I thought "If I were to die, what would my headstone say? Would I be able to find one good quotation that could sum up my life?" Then I had a brilliant idea. Ever go to a fast food drive thru and see the little ordering screen? How friggin cool would that be to inset into a headstone? Every month it could be programmed to display a new image or comment! That way, instead of having people try and decypher cryptic messages carved into cold stone, you could share with the world everything that you loved or gave you inspiration. There could even be some softly played audio that was triggered when someone walked up. I'd have to have it play "For whom the bell tolls" at least once.... :headbang:
