Your thoughts on the following bands...

Pearl Jam-
Nine Inch Nails-
Primus-
Therapy?-
Soundgarden-

Pearl Jam* still one of my favorite Seattle bands. Their last album Bilateral is one of their best.

Nine Inch Nails* damm good stuff, although I do have to be in the mood for it. Fragile kicks some serious ass. Pretty hate machine will always be his best.

Primus* Way underrated band, and I"ve seen them perform live about five times now. They seem to get better everytime.

Therapy* Not a band band, I heard most of their second album.

Soundgarden* This band I truly miss, I thought I would cry when I heard they broke up.

Cheerz!

Pearl Jam - I have been a huge fan of them since their first album. Their music helped me emotionally through some hard times. I have a pretty large meorabilia collection and have seen them several times.

Nine Inch Nails, Primus, and Soundgarden - I'm a casual fan of all these bands. You can't deny their influence on modern music. Primus while never having attained huge commercial success is a kind of legend of sorts.

Therapy? - Don't really know anything about them. I think they did a song on the Judgement Night soundtrack right?

If it's not metal then it sucks huh? And get your signature right. It's "faith no more" not "fate no more".

That's why I did this thread TheMan to see if there would be reactions like that one from oldAnthrax-tp. He is obviuosly entitled to his opinion but look at his attitude!! I oh so absofuckinglutely agree with you that his comments are narrow-minded ones. A person would normally receive these tunnel vision comments from people who don't have any respect for other styles of music besides metal and that ticks me off! You were spot on and I guess you are the man my man!! I hate it when you get those people who call themselves "true metalheads" because they think they are metalheads because they only wear black and metallica T-shirts and think any rock that has emotion besides anger or hate is not true metal. Dammit grow up and don't be afraid of emotions.
All read theMan has got it right!!!!

Don't get me wrong. I love real metal probably as much as anyone here, but thata's not all there is in the world. I look to certain types of music or certain bands for different things. Pearl Jam does a lot of music that makes me emotional and helps me get out my feelings when I'm depressed or sad. Some metal has the same effect on me. My mom died 10 years ago and the 2 albums that helped me through that time were Pearl Jam's "Ten" and Armored Saint's "Symbol Of Salvation". Completely different ends of the musical spectrum, but serving the same purpose. That's something beautiful to me.

Pearl Jam - one of my most favourite bands.
Nine Inch Nails - they do what they want to do. I like it. Kill the poseurs!
Therapy - very good live band
Primus - don´t fancy them very much. South Park theme is okay.
Soundgarden - sucked live (saw them once), wrote number of briliant songs.

Pearl Jam- Own all their albums, were good in the beginning, but later on, their music got kinda bland. I do not know what it is, I think STP went down that same road. It is like they got stuck in a musical rut.
Nine Inch Nails- Have not listened to them enough to give a valid opinion. I do like all the "singles" from them that I have heard, but never have bought a album and listened to them straight through.
Primus- Great band! unique and very cool. I like bands that are not afraid to take chances, and be themselves.
Therapy- Have not heard enough from them to give a opinion.
Soundgarden- Another great band whose career was to short, maybe they will get back together someday.

Pearl Jam- Have only had 3 good songs since VS : Spin the black circle, Hail Hail & Habit

Nine Inch Nails- The Fragile let me down hard, everything else I've listened to a million times & love, I agree Broken is the best. Trent's remix of Symphony of Destruction is insane !

Primus- It's Pudding Time ! Seen 'em twice. Not too keen on Punchbowl or AntiPop. Trey ruined Oysterhead for me. Seas of Cheese is Classic !

Therapy?- I always meant to get an album because that song on the Judgment Night soundtrack is brutal !

Soundgarden- Made music for over 10 years ! I don't consider that a short time at all. Every CD is kicks ass, Superunknown is my Fav. The solo Chris CD really let me down hard. RIP
