Frank Zappa is THE Man! His music has got everything and more! his composition s are fantastic and he played the guitar with ultimate creativity. Everything you get to listen by him is a masterpiece, it now depends on how deep you wanna go into his zappiness. For example sheik yerbouti and hot rats I'd say its good for easy listeners. "Guitar" is for hardcore frank zappa fans. I enjoy everything by him. I don't know what you may like but I'd say try out "Fillmore East" (1971) its a live recording.

like other people have mentioned; shiek yerbouti is a top reccomendation. its worth it for 'bobby brown goes down' alone. also the random ''1,2,3,4!'' in 'broken hearts are for assholes' always makes me smile.
