Its official, Zet is no longer in Exodus..... its been confirmed by sources close to the band (Jerry Allen of Tales from the Pit video)and it'll be on Blabbermouth in the morning with more details.....

Absolutely true. Jerry broke the story, and Borivoj emailed me back saying that Steve Warner had called him today and he was going to talk to Gary and get some quotes..... I understand Zet's decision, he has a good job and a family.

I never thought he was a good fit for Exodus...

It would have been interesting if he stayed in Legacy and Chuck Billy had joined Exodus...

Wishful thinking... I know.

Even though Zet couldn't commit 100% to the band, it's too bad they didn't get him in the studio to at least get another album out, tour or not. Now it's like the last few years building the band back up were just kinda wasted with no product to show. If they do continue with a new vocalist, and I think they should, they should change their name and start off as a fresh thrash band, but still throw in some classic Exodus material live. But there cannot truly be an Exodus without Baloff or Zetro. Some say the only true Exo was with Baloff, but at least Zetro was in from fairly early on. To get some dude fresh off the boat, who has no old school ties to the band's roots, would just not feel right.

I spoke to Zetro this morning, & he confirmed his departure from Exodus. He has a wife & 3 kids to think about, besides just plaiyng metal. He has a great job, wear he is the foreman & runs a crew of workers. At the moment he can't give Exodus what they want, which is to tour the world extensively. They deserve someone who can record & tour, & treat the band as if it were a job. Unfortunately he is unable to commit 100%. He told me, "I'm not 22 anymore, I have a family & kids, who depend on me, I can't
just pack up and go around the world all year." "It would not be fair to my Family, or my employer." "It was great being on stage, & playing to all the fans again, that was the best, & I don't regret it" "I stepped in & did some shows after Paul died, & helped the band when they needed me. Now I'm stepping aside so that I don't hold them back."

I just wanna say that Zet is one of the nicest, most down to earth people there is. And I can understand why it didn't, but I also think that he should be given a lot of credit for being as responsible as he is. Maybe he can do F-Bomb again or something.

Man, what a class act. You have to respect a guy that cares for his family and fellow bandmates like that. I know everone is sad to see him leave but at least he did it like a pro.

I totally agree w/ toilethead. a name change is in order, but tossing exodus tunes into the set is mandatory.

That's the most asinine suggestion ever. Why should they change their name when Exodus has always been about the H-Team. Holt, Hunolt and Hunting. That equals EXODUS. Most people preferred Paul Baloff over Zetro anyway so why didn't the band change their name then? When Hunting left the band after Fabulous Disaster, why didn't they change their name then? He fucking founded the band for christsakes? It's amazing how many people know absolutely NOTHING about Exodus and yet think their opinion counts. Testament is now only Chuck and Eric from their original members..should they change their name also? How many other bands have gone through massive line up changes and yet retain the name and it's perfectly accepted? I'm glad to read Holt has no plans to change the name and he shouldn't. A frontman leaving the band does not warrant a name change and if you think so, you're a fucking hypocrite.

Their will be a new singer, but no name change, so everyone please get over it.................Exodus is still evolving, without Baloff,
& without Souza, on to a new Exo-Era in 2003.....................!!

thanks HB for your in depth insite. You must be a personal friend of the band to know all that. I think your opinion scored a whopping -12.

Let's not forget that chuck isn't an original member of testament. zetro fronted the band before chuck. ;)

I suggest you get ALL your facts straight next time you try to bash others w/ your "opinion" (and having more than 3 posts would help you out a lot too if you want your opinion to count around here), not to mention the nice way you go about making friends on a new board :yow:

If I understand correctly, Zetro was technically never in Testament...it was Legacy for all the time he was in the band.
