The return of the "How are you today?" thread

 yeah well i've done my research up and down and i know this is the best place for me, even aside from research the vibe i had when i visited was just unreal. ive never felt anything like it

and the bad was just the jealousy and also for a long time they didn't have the toughest admissions compared to today. but even so, with an easy audition many kids dropped out early on and the stronger ones stayed. now the audition has a prepared piece, sight reading, ear training, and improvisation. plus the interview and application

So what if the world has more Dream Theater clones.

LOL.

This, don't be a DT prog fag when you start :p. The worst thing about my shitty music school was all the people who were way more interested in technical ability than in music. :/

My friend came back from a Cruise that went into Mexico. He bought me Tequila, and this honey-anise booze "straight from the fucking jungle". Pretty good seeing as I usually can't stand anise. Also some Crystal Skull vodka, by Dan Aykroyd, but because it comes in a skull bottle its apparently unavailable in Ontario. We went to a blues show and I don't remember much after that.

Ive never been so hungover to the point where I was unable to keep down water, weed is a fucking miracle, im going to have some grilled cheese sandwiches.

Admission Letter said:
Dear Mr. Mandina de Oliveira:

Your application for admission and financial aid for graduate study in physics at Washington
University has been read by the departmental Graduate Admissions Committee. I am happy to
inform you that the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences has endorsed our recommen-
dation to offer you admission into our graduate program beginning in August 2011.

Spelled my name wrong but I don't care

Neither, it's Missouri.

I spent a night in St. Louis, there's a club called the Crack Fox apparently it has Metal playing but was pretty empty on a Wednesday night, just had a disco DJ and 2 people in the place. I was told of some strip club on the other side of the river and it was a seedy part of town - wasn't too keen on going there.

It was very quiet that night, middle of summer and not much going on at all.

Some friends did a tour of the Budweiser factory the next morning but I pretty much followed others out of the place to our next destination.

cool.

^

Pretty ironic considering I've been warned by several people not to go to the part of St. Louis that's in Illinois, ever. The Delmar loop was pretty cool.

And the PhD program is probably about 5 years, but there's no strict duration, it all depends. Good thing I'm not being funded by some agency HERE, they really get on your tits if you take more than 4 years to complete the doctorate. Luckily, I'll be just Your Tax Dollars at Work. :p

That's actually East St. Louis, it's kinda weird how they have the city across the state border. I think that was where I was getting confusion with my GPS or map getting 2 results or something.

strip clubs are for fags.
especially that one near my house, across the street.
