What do you think of the new Dew Scented?? I've downloaded about five tracks or so and i'm not too impressed.....its heavier and less melodic than Inwards, but it still sounds far too similar to my liking.... =/

I actually like it a little bit better than Inwards. It is more brutal and more technical. It is almost death metal. The only Dew Scented CDs I have are Inwards and Impact, and I like both a lot. Perhaps the reason that I like Impact a little bit better is because I am such a big death metal fan.

I would describe Yattering as a cross between the Vader influenced Polish dm sound and old school death metal. Their sound bears some similarities to bands such as Vader, Behemoth, and Decapitated, but it is more raw with an old school dm feel to it. How is the new CD by The Crown? I saw it in the store and almost got it.

Mastodon - Remission
From Autumn To Ashes - The Fiction We Live

Those are the only two CDs I have purchased this month(and I purchased them at the same time), and I haven't listened to them yet. I am too lazy. Yes, listening to music is a task that requires me to think. I have to be in the right mood.

Anyway, with the outrageous price of CDs these days, I have to be catious what I get. Once I used and abused those two CDs, I have a whole bunch of other ones I want to get.

I haven't listened to The Crown's new one in it's entirety even once yet, but I like it a lot from what I've heard. My favorite song so far is Kill 'Em All, which is probably the most Thrash-oriented track on the new one. The bonus disc is great too.

So it's pretty much in the same vein as Crowned In Terror? That's the only CD of theirs I own, and I love it.

Most hardcore Crown fans don't like Crowned in Terror all that much....no doubt because Lindberg guests on it

Its my favourite too, but Deathrace King is still awesome. I've yet to hear Possessed 13, and I don't know their early stuff...

Yattering are ok, but are one of the less spectacular technical DM bands around......bands like Iniquity, Siksakubur, Psycroptic, Decapitated, Vader, Dying Fetus, Cryptopsy, etc etc are more impressive. Its a shame really; Yattering have awesome artwork. =D
