We're a Sydney band looking for a death metal vocalist. We're a bunch of old cvnts (30s - except for one of us) who used to play gigs during the early-mid 90s and are currently going through mid life crises like most of the old cvnts who reformed old bands are.
Looking for someone ...
... who has a "clear" gruff throat. Think Dave Vincent ie. not a microphone swallowing cookie monster. Would be great if you were also capable of some other vocal styles.
... who has a creative lyrical bent
... who maybe fancies themselves as a bit of a frontperson
... who isn't some pimply faced git (face it you wouldnt want to hang out with us wrinkly old farts if you were). Actually doesn't matter if you're young, as long as you've got a mature head on your shoulders
... can jam once a week in the city (ie. can fork out for rehearsals/storage and get to the studio on your own wheels/feet/stumps) usually either saturday or sunday night
... who is passionate about and wants to be original and creative
Some influences ... Slayer, Celtic Frost, Entombed, Carcass, to the more modern extreme stuff, to non metal ...
We're writing stuff at the moment - so would be great if you have a good ear and/or writing talent too.
