They're all pretty awesome. Even Link (II), although the worst, was really great. Very few other Nintendo games have communicated the very-realistic sense of "I don't need to explore every goddamn corner of the world to beat the game and have fun". Except fucking Blaster Master with its fake stages.

Yeah, which was awesome! I think to create a realistic "overworld", you need to have at least 25% of it totally useless, and another 25% or more with optional power-ups and stuff.

I'm not sure what Neverending Story you saw, but it was on the third part (nasties thread). I would check mp3.com but my downloads limit is at it's peek because somebody downloaded a ot of po... fantasy stuff .
