What do you think of this mix? Deathcore/Metal

Thanks! The band hasn't released the song quite yet, but if I get an OK from them, I could probably post raw files for people to play with if there is interest. I'll have to check on that.

What do you think of this mix? Deathcore/Metal

https://soundcloud.com/mickmazz/enmp3320-2clip/s-YRdIf Wasn't sure if my guitars were too spiky on the top end, but they're tuned pretty low so it seemed to give them a bit more definition compared to when I boosted less. Vocals I wanted to keep fairly low in the mix. Thoughts?

Heavy Deathcore Mix, Axe Fx 2 with real power amp/cab

http://soundcloud.com/mickmazz/durb62512/s-MwcBK Got an Axe Fx and a Mesa 2:90 and boy is it cool. Using that through my real 4x12 cab, custom made kick and snare samples from the drummer's kit. First mix for the band off their full length. Did the whole thing in about 10 days (not including...

Just tone matched my 5150 on the axe fx II...

The difference is so negligible that in a mix it would never ever be noticeable. Or, throw a little EQ on there if you really wanted it to sound "EXACT"-- which isn't even necessary (and you might even EQ those thicker areas out a bit for fitting in a mix) just got my own Axe Fx 2 and it's crazy...

Not metal, but I record a lot of it. Alternative/Indie/Rock, My Own Free EP

I just put up a free EP and while it's not metal, there are some "harder" tracks/parts (Such as "Dig", #2), and a lot of clients seem to be digging it. I recorded it all myself, sang/played guitar on all the tracks, drums/bass on track one, and had friends guest play on the other tracks for...

Drop E Deathcore mix... that's low.

Now that's just too far...!! (as if Drop E wasn't already maybe too far, lol). Actually, I don't care, I mean hey why do they make sub-contrabass saxophones and the like? Somebody's gotta do it...!

Drop E Deathcore mix... that's low.

I understand what you mean. Myself as a guitar player, I still tune to normal EADGBE! So yes, for me too, it's waaay down there. Glad you like the mix!

Drop E Deathcore mix... that's low.

I didn't write it, or choose their tuning, I just recorded it! So if you're trying to bash me as if I wrote it... whoops. edit: And even though it's obscenely low, the guitar notes are still obviously audible as you can tell in the parts that are only guitar.

Spacey Modern Hard/Indie/Rock, Real Dual Rec Amp

Dual Rec through my Mesa 4x12, guitars were I think a Tele and a Les Paul Studio Faded. Drums are slate, cymbals are real cymbals mostly TRX. I think this is probably the best mix I've done yet so I'm fairly stoked on it. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2208210/FL-MonstersMix12912.mp3 These guys...
