I hear ya. Can totally relate too, got like that a lot about 4 or 5 years ago. Started noticing it was more my tastes that had changed, rather than the actual music. Now if I don't like something right off the bat, I'll listen to it a few more times to see how I feel ... if I still don't like...

Might have to give him another chance on something non-Maiden related. I just know that the two albums he fronted were IMO the worst Maiden albums. I would have preferred them to be fully instrumental albums, than to have to listen to that voice.

Accidnet, now there's an interesting concept :p Accident has some good shit, King in Crimson comes to mind offhand, but Chemical just has some good shit. Book of Thel, The Alchemist, Chemical Wedding ... c'mon! :D

I've been listening since '86 w/ Somewhere in Time. Some good stuff. I agree, after No Prayer, things started going downhill. I think Fear was decent, had some good stuff, hell, even No Prayer had some good songs (not many, mind you). Brave sounded to me more like the Maiden of old ... back...

Balls and Chemical Wedding are tied, and then comes Accident. Haven't heard the others.

Kiss, Zeppelin, Sabbath, Purple ... not too complicated, but good non-the-less ... check 'em out.
