    Opeth forum will close down?

I really hope the forum can continue in an "unofficial" capacity without the band's seal of the approval, as MetalAges seems to wish, but if not, something absolutely has to be done to archive/mirror the years and years of Opeth information that literally cannot be found anywhere but here. It...

    A new instrument?

Well on Damnation and Ghost Reveries the "other instruments" were all synth, I believe. But on Watershed, no fewer than five live instrumentalists (including a violinist, which people in this thread keep "wondering" about) perform all through the album, so I guess not too many people on here...

    A new instrument?

Uhhh, you guys realize that Watershed has live flute, oboe and cello among other instruments, not just on Coil but throughout the album, right?

Mikael, please help shed some light on your many "secret" projects!

Yeah, Mikael said that 16 songs were fully recorded during the D&D sessions. I've always wanted to hear those too. So has no one ever heard any info in interviews or anywhere about all those many projects Mike put in his list? Mike, you out there? :)

    Dave Isberg.......

    Mine too

    Dave Isberg.......

No, Crowley was the band formed by the 3 idiots who Dave originally had with him in Opeth when they quit in protest over Åkerfeldt joining.

    Dave Isberg.......

David, don't worry about the arseholes on here who are trying to slag you off, you've accomplished a lot and have every right to promote yourself here. And of course, you started Opeth! :kickass: Which reminds me, I think you said upthread or in another thread quite some years ago that...

Mikael, please help shed some light on your many "secret" projects!

Yeah I'm still fascinated about the CD made for Fredrik, and desperate to hear it, but since I'll probably never be so lucky, I made this thread to at least find out information about that other LONG list of projects I pasted from the web site. :)

    The Drapery Falls (Radio Edit)

It's hardly worth it, since it's just the album version with a crude fade-out at 5:05, right before the first death vocals come in... But if you really must have it, it's easy to obtain on Koch's "Loud Music for Loud People" compilation which frequently appears on eBay for very little money...

    The Opeth Collector's Thread

You guys missed something pretty incredible mentioned by "FarOffGrace" in this post from September 7, 2008, in this thread. He was offering up an item with this description: "Deliverance promotional 2-track radio sampler CD" This would NOT be the Deliverance Radio Edit single! I have...

Mikael, please help shed some light on your many "secret" projects!

(...Unbelievably, it seems there has never been a thread about this on the forum! Apologies if there is and I missed it in search...) As many on this forum have probably noticed, it says this on the Opeth official site: Additional projects, past/present: Mikael Åkerfeldt - S?rskogen...

    Saddest Opeth songs?

Definitely Patterns in the Ivy II for me!

What's the darjest Opeth album in your opinion?

It's watershed by a million miles for me

    EVERY OPETH SONG TOGETHER

Wouldn't it be the last six minutes? The second longest song after BRI is In Mist She Was Standing at 14:08, right?

Can't sleep until I ID this song...

Let me add my voice to say thanks again Fredrik for the information, and also that I'm desperate to either see your film with the music in it, or hear the CD!!!!!! :D
