Can you guys or Nolly personally tell me in what order the chain is? Compressor first then B7K? Vice Versa? If I wanted to use the B7K like an eq like Nolly does what part of the chain do you guys think it would fall in. Also where does the Axe FX come into play here? Thanks...

I use Vocal Rider on bass to even out my transients to ease the load on my compressors. I've read in other forums how other people use Vocal Rider on bass too. Waves will say that the plugins have different algorithms for their respective instrument, but I think Vocal Rider works better on...

I actually have a new question too... In the bass section of the guide Ermz suggests using a Linear Phase EQ in one part. Obviously, the EQ messes with the phase of the tracks, but while the plugin is active my bass is completely behind time and is flamming really hard... I'm confused...

After you burn them in they sound sweet absolutely great... It has a pretty flat bass response, which is so important. The mids can be hyped but nothing drastic. I think that's the same reason Ermz uses them too!

Okay let me try the noise and see if its hovering at 0VU. If that works and my meters aren't bugged and calibration is correct, I might just raise the input of the VCC to make it hit 0VU or raise my trim back up.

After trimming my tracks down for proper gain staging (-18dbfs average peak) in pro tools, when I pop up Slate VCC the meter is averaging halfway to 0VU... I thought -18dbfs should approximately be hitting 0VU?? Is this normal for you guys? Or is something off with my calibration...

Hey guys... just got my apogee duet 2! I have two mixing stations, since the apogee has better da conversion than my mbox mini, will the sound out of my monitors be degraded with the mbox mini compared to the apogee? Or would the DA matter for stuff like reamping... When does DA...
