    Milwakke Metal Fest 2000?

I was at the show in Milwaukee, they weren't horrible, but they weren't great either. They did get to play right before Opeth that night though, so that was a pretty cool slot in my opinion. I did get a chance to ask Matthias about it when they were in Cleveland last year and he basically...

Which Katatonia vocals do you prefer?

They're all good, but I gotta give the nod to the clean vocals.

    Five most moving Katatonia songs

In no particular order: I Am Nothing Teargas Tonight's Music The Future of Speech Burn the Rememberance Those songs more than any of their others have hit very close to home for me.

How did you get into Katatonia?

I read a review of Discoraged Ones in Terrorizer, I think it was actually Album of the Month if I remember, so I decided to check it out, I wasn't disappointed. I was hooked from there!

    The least depressing Katatonia song?

I'd have to say Ghost of the Sun, that's such an angry song, lyrically and musically. I don't think even the mellow part in the song takes away from the sheer anger and power in it overall.

    Most depressing Katatonia cd?

This was a close one, I'm saying Tonight's Decision is by a hair over Last Fair Deal Gone Down. Even the artwork is more depressing, and the lyrics and music are I think so much more bleak sounding in my opinion.

    Set list?

Actually, they didn't do I Am Nothing (although that woulda rocked if they did), they did do Black Session, which was pretty fucking amazing I must say!

I gotta agree there, I really wasn't interested in any other bands that day. I remember Doro, Lilitu, Grave Digger, Shadowkeep, E Force and Grave Digger playing, the only real highlight aside from Katatonia was getting to meet Matti, Fred & David from Dismember and them signing their new CD for me.

Actually, that was me. That was an amazing show! MaskedSanity and I went to both shows and I must say Montreal rocks! Both shows were great, but the crowd and overall vibe in Montreal was definitely better. It was well worth the trip.
