dunno if this counts, but Agalloch always reminds me of that side of the mellower, acoustic-y stuff. check them out if you haven't already! they have a page on The End's website (www.theendrecords.com) ...i wouldn't say they're as musically complex as Opeth though. ...but still pretty damn wicked!

hehe okay here's an explanation for those last two questions: When we interviewed In Flames and Soilwork a few weeks before Opeth, we'd got there early, were just standing around, trying to find the nonexistant tour manager... then we got hungry, so we went to this grocery store, got drinks...
